St. Thomas’s Anglican Church, Isinkan, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, was established well over 100 years ago. This is one of the fastest growing Church in Akure Diocese Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) St. Thomas’s Church is the Headquarters of  Akure South Archdeaconry and  the biggest Archdeaconry in Akure Diocese in terms of growth and financial base.

This Church is pragmatically committed to the development of her members in all ramifications. The church is committed to the wholistic teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ which is Teaching, Preaching and Healing. Through these wholistic ministry, her members is been developed both physically and spiritually. The activities of the church includes:  Sundays where we have 2 services,  7:30a.m for English Service and 10:00am for Yoruba service. To be moderate and conservative, the attendance at both services close to 700 worshippers per Sunday.  The weekly activities of the church are Bible Study, prayer – meetings, Women fellowship, Youth Forum, Boys Brigade and the Church choir rehearsal.  Members of this church are well committed to attending church programmes and these reflects greatly in their positive response to God’s work.

Yielding and commitment of the Team Ministry of this church is equally unparalleled. They  maintain and see to the spiritual development and growth of the church members. St. Thomas’s Church, Isinkan, Akure is  playing a leading role in the areas of evangelism and church growth in Akure Diocese. The church is well involved in evangelistic crusade programmes and outreaches.  Church planting and assistance to smaller Churches is one of the key features in their mission work. The Church is  involved in social programs like caring & assistance to the needy people, the aged, the widow and also indigent students in tertiary institutions.

St. Thomas’s Church, Akure is playing a major role financially in the Diocese of Akure. The Church could be described as a living church where the Body, Soul and Spirit of individual believers are well attended to in making sure every believer reign with Christ eternally.
